Joseph H. Novak ran Novak’s Pharmacy at 11 South Dubuque Street. He and his wife Elizabeth lived at 330 Church Street. According to the 1910 Census, they had a daughter named Margaret and a son named Joseph W. He was born about 1872 in Iowa.

The attached ad was published in the Iowa City Daily Press on May 21, 1907.
