Iowa Pride
The June 2009 issue of Iowa City's arts and culture magazine, Little Village, celebrated Pride month by covering LGBTQ+ lives affected by the then-recent Iowa Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage. Among these features was a Iowa Civil Rights timeline written by Andrew Sherburne with an introduction by Melody Dworak. The timeline highlights years Iowans gained legal protections against various kinds of discrimination.
