Elizabeth Irish
Elizabeth Irish was the principal of a business college, living at 132 North Dodge Street, according to the 1910 Census. Her mother, Susanah A. Irish, also lived with her as well as several lodgers. She was born around the year 1865. The college was located at 119 South Clinton Street. An ad in the 1908 City Directory promotes learning shorthand, bookkeeping, typewriting, commercial law and arithmetic, telegraphy, mimeographing, and orthography.
